This is an awesome opportunity have your trailer be part of a museum exhibit! The Portland Art Museum has reached out to the club seeking to have a display of Airstreams as part of their current “shape of speed” exhibit. The exhibit is focused on the stream lined designs of cars and motorcycles from the 1930s, sadly there are no 30s Airstreams in our unit. However as the iconic shape of our trailers has only seen minor alterations over the years all years are welcome. We would certainly like to have as many vintage trailers as possible to show the diversity of design elements.

The city has agreed to close the street in front of the museum to allow trailer parking for up to 20 trailers overnight. This will be boon docking with no access to water, electric or sewer. We will load in Saturday morning from 8 to 10am. There is a BBQ luncheon and they would like to have the trailers open for museum members from noon to 5pm on Saturday. On Sunday the museum will provide breakfast for us and wants the trailers open to the public from 10am to 4pm. In exchange for us putting our trailers on display they will be giving each attending trailer a free annual membership, this is a $100 value! The rally fee will go to cover any expenses with the balance given as a donation to the museum.

Call Brad if you have any questions.
